An author's light filled pied-a-terre in Manhattan's fashionable Chelsea district. Hilary worked with the owner to design this space on a budget, supplementing the client's existing sofa and artworks with a pair of modern futon chairs, an engraved Morrocan inspired coffee table, and the client's own heirloom chandelier. Each area is multi-functional to maximize the use of space. The main room serves as an office, living, dining, and guest space. The exposed brick and natural root ball offer touches of texture and naturalism that soften the hard lines of the modern upholstery.
Hilary has worked with Tamara Magel over the last three years as a senior design consultant & project manager. Some of the projects Hilary has managed for Tamara include high-end residences in Rumson, New Jersey, New York, New York, and Sagaponack, New York, as well as the launch of the first Tamara Magel showroom in Soho, New York.
Hilary recently collaborated with COOKFOX Architects on the design of the public spaces for a new, luxury residential apartment building in Midtown Manhattan that will open in 2015. The 301E50th Sales Center opened in June and features a model of the building lobby, exterior, and corridors as well as a model apartment. As a design consultant Hilary provided concepts, furniture, lighting, materials, art, and feature recommendations for the lobby and amenities spaces of this sumptuous high-rise as well as the model apartment for the Sales Center. Hilary Mac Interiors was also selected to handle all the FFE specifications, purchasing, management, and installation for the Sales Center.
